It seems that someone took quite a few baths in the bathtub in our apartment before we moved in and left a nice ring of icky dirt/grime/scum behind. It is the worst in the corners (dirty feet perhaps?) It is a fiberglass shower/tub combo. I have tried Kaboom which is supposed to be the strongest stuff out there, but it doesn’t do anything but make me cough over the fumes. This is some heavy duty grossness that the landlords should have cleaned before we moved in. Any tricks or secrets you can share to obtain a sparkling clean bathtub?

Hey, I’ve heard of this enclosed bathtub that when you’re inside, you’re numb of all your body senses. It’s pitch black and very soundproof. The water temperature is the same as your body heat, that way you feel like you’re sort of floating. I think it’s used for therapy and ultimate relaxation.

I have been filling the tub up and adding cleaner with bleach, and then use a toothbrush-type brush to scrub out the jets. It looks like things are clean, and the jacuzzi bathtub water is clear — but I’m worried there might be bacteria or mold deep inside the jets and therefore wouldn’t be safe to use.
