If so, how did it turn out, was it really hard to do?

Yes I did, I did a clawfoot tub and it was not really easy to do. but it can be done, You have to make sure and I mean it is imperative you get it clean.
No soap scum, no dirt, nothing especially grease. Get it super duper clean. Preparation is the key to this kind of project. I used everything under the cabinet and what ever else I could get that was a degreaser. then I used alcohol to remove any of the cleaner residue. then you get really fine mirror finish sand paper and sand it lightly and wipe all of the dust off, Then make sure the temperature is in the right place before you start. It makes a big difference what it will spread like and how smooth it will flow. Use a really expensive good brush and go to town.
If you have preped it right it should smooth out and be awfully good looking tub when you are done.
