How do I refinish a fiberglass bathtub?
August 26th, 2010 | by admin |jsa1962jsa asked:
I have an older fiberglass bathtub/surround combo and the bottom surface is covered with micro cracking or crazing. The cracks are just large enough to pick up trace dirt and looks unclean. I hate to replace the tub, as much for the extensive labor in fitting a new one in as for the cost. Is there an overcoat that I can apply that will restore the original finish, or some method of buffing it out that won’t go beyond the outer layer and into the fiberglass? The problem is really limited to the bottom and up about 2 inches on the sides.
Epoxy Floor Paint

For 100 to get nice smooth finish this kit looks promising httpwwwtubbyusacomhometubsmartlist_1product_cataloghtml but home improvement store might have something as well also another site found recommended having professional do yourself should hope so if theyre the results would more than what you do the professionals.
