Is there a Do It Yourself solution similar to Bath Fitters tub cover solution?

A quote for Bath Fitters to cover a bathtub only, no tub surround, was over $1400. I know that Bath Fitters produces tubs from their own molds, but is there a company that produces similar tub covers that consumers can buy directly and install themselves? I have no problem with the install, but I would prefer not to rip out the old tub as it is cast iron and will be a big job. Also, since the tub is just a blue eyesore and no other issues exist I really do not necessarily need to remove it completely. I have looked into resurfacing it and found plenty of information, but I have been unable to find any distributors of tub covers and that is the route that I prefer to take.
