Should we resurface a metal bathtub or get a new plastic one?

We are trying to decide if we should resurcar our old (1978) metal tub or replace it with a plastic one. Resurfacing is $250-300 and that is about the same price for a new tub.

What would you recommend? WE are redoing the entire bath we have already taken the tiles and the drywall dow around the tub and will also replace the vanity, toilet, mirror and redo the ceiling, floor and walls. WE plan on in a few years to sell this house after we fix it up a bit.
THanks
