Tips on getting rid of set-in stain in bathtub?

It seems like a very set in mold stain. It’s light brown, and blotchy, only around the faucet area, and NOTHING I’ve tried has gotten rid of it. The tub isn’t porcelain it’s a porous plastic material, which is around the entire shower - kinda like the bath outfitter stuff. The stain seems set into the plastic though.

I’ve tried CLR, Lysol scum remover, and all those type of products… even abrasives like comet, scrubbing with an abrasive scrubber, and nothing works. Anyone have any idea how to get rid of that??? Are there cheap ways to refinish plastic tubs?

Use rubber gloves and protective glasses if you should decide to scrub it with straight Clorox bleach. If that doesn’t get it to at least fade, I don’t know what will.

Geez, sounds like you have a problem. There’s no really a cheap way to get rid of it if those products are not working. You may have to bring a professional out there or purchase a new tub altogether
