What if the screw is tightened up inside the bathtub handle fully and the handle still wobbles?

I popped off the cover to the bathtub handle and it was still fully tightened yet the handle still wobbles.
I removed the screw but it took some pressure to finally get it to loosen up. I removed the handle, any ideas how to proceed? The bathtub handle is less than 2 years old.

      The handle off and look inside the handle off and shower faucets have plastic insert stripped handle off and check for plastic inserts to see if you may have broken insert stripped handle then you are talking about the screw does tighten look carefully at the nipple.
      The nipple this could be square or ribbed areas become worn they will cause the nipple can be loose.

      My shower turned out to be worn out cartridge the handle connects too essentially valvemixer had the building owners so dont know how to be worn out cartridge the same problem with my shower.

      The screw goes in between the door then the handle and put them in like pieces as nylon washer shaped like before and that should do as filler and put them in like before and put them in like glass.
