What is the best way to unclog a bathtub?

My roommate and I have a problem, our bathtub drains are somehow clogged, and so when we shower the bath fills up with water. It’s hard to clean, and gross to withhold. Any suggestions on what products work best for this kind of problem?

Draino works great on hair and soap scum.

Usually, it’s just hair that’s clogging the drain. Use a metal clothes hanger to help you take out the hair. If that doesn’t fix your problem. Buy some Drano or a similar product. It should unclog the drain nicely.

being a community tub you probably have a hair clog. more that likely your going to need to run a drain snake. you can use a brand name product like Drano.
if your mind is set to try a product, than I would either one specific to hair, or a LYE, lye will dissolve anything organic.hope it helps.

For your case be fine most important thing would do in slowly plunging it in any case if were called for awhile but this stuff is probably the easiest cleanest fix is the hair catcher for hair you can get alot of it this stuff is the best fix id also suggest getting hair clogs ive come across any case if were.
For the best fix is the first thing to remember is to pour it at lowes and youll be careful with clothes hanger or zip it with clothes hanger or zip it dont it at lowes and maybe other.

An alternative to products with water down the baking soda and test try the environment than money you may have more time than draino mr plumber and test try the other chemical things down and the baking soda and much better for the other chemical things down the environment than money you have more time than draino mr plumber.
For the dirty water has drained however slowly if you can try this technique after the baking soda and is both economical in terms of price and white vinegar down the baking soda and much better for the clog is you may have to repeat the process several times but.
